McLaren Senna
Spectacular As Ever

Named after legendary three-time Formula 1 World Champion Ayrton Senna and built by the marque he drove for to be the most uncompromising and extreme road car in their history, the McLaren Senna had a lot to live up to before it even appeared before the public.

Unveiled in 2017, the McLaren Senna was an extraordinary machine with a singular purpose: to be the purest expression of everything McLaren knew about performance, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on four wheels to their limit, while remaining road legal.

Every panel, vent and opening on the Senna was designed around performance, from its aggressive front splitter to the active rear wing, capable of doubling as an airbrake. It produced an incredible 800 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, equivalent to around two thirds of its own dry weight.

And those speeds were reached in short order, thanks to the 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 which produced 588 kW and 800 Nm. The 0 - 100 km/h run was dealt with in just 2.8 seconds and 200 km/h reached in 6.8. The track-tuned setup was built around McLaren’s carbon fibre Monocage III chassis paired with active suspension and massive carbon ceramic brakes.

Just 500 examples were produced, with every one spoken for before the car's public debut. Combining cutting edge engineering developed through six decades at the pinnacle of motorsport and a direct connection to one of Formula 1’s greatest legends, the Senna stands among McLaren’s most remarkable creations and is a fitting tribute to the incredible driver whose name it carries.
