This 2012 Ford FPV GT Boss 335 sedan represents a compelling opportunity to acquire a low mileage example of one of the last great Australian-built muscle cars, housing an all-timer of an engine.

Finished in Silhouette Black over a black interior, this FPV is powered by the tuner’s celebrated 5.0-litre ‘Miami’ V8, which is paired with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. 

The all-alloy quad-cam V8 was developed by Prodrive at a reported cost of around $35 million, the tuners importing the engine from the US in bits and then hand assembling it with Australian components. With a Harrop Engineering-developed, Eaton-sourced Twin Vortices Series supercharger helping it breathe, the motor is capable of 335kW and generates 570Nm of torque between an impressively wide 2,200 and 5,500rpm.

A quad pipe bi-modal exhaust system provides a magnificent soundtrack, accented by the supercharger whine. Brembos reign the power in, and cap off a handling package that impressed at the time in being surprisingly nimble for a big V8 muscle car.

Offered from a two-year ownership and reading 11,500 km, this vehicle is reported to be unmodified and original. Paintwork and interior trim are understood to be excellent, with a few stone chips having been touched up in the usual exposed areas up front.
