Fans of the Chevrolet Corvette were in for a treat when the C8 generation was announced in 2019. Not only would it be the first Corvette to use a rear mid-engine layout, but it would also be the first to leave the Bowling Green factory in right-hand drive form.

Several years later, the first of those right-hook Stingray models finally started to roll out, including the 2024 model you see right here.

Finished in white, this coupe model features the traditional removable targa roof panel, along with a well-specified interior utilising a mix of black and white leather, complemented by red seatbelts and carbon inlays on its Competition seats.

Powered by the 6.2-litre ‘LT2’ naturally aspirated V8 engine, the C8 may make a more muscle car sound than a flat-plane European V8, but its rapid Tremec eight-speed dual-clutch transmission ups the ante to make it feel like the honed performance car it is.

Churning out 369kW and 637Nm, it’s safe to say performance is well catered for. The right surface, tyre temperature, and use of launch control has the potential to get it from 0-100km/h in a claimed 2.9 seconds.

Aside from a set of Hussla wheels wrapped in the same Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber these cars originally came with, this example is unmodified and only shows 4,677km on the odometer. It has also been serviced within the past month at GMSV Castle Hill.
