This rare and desirable 1972 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 short-wheelbase is offered from the care of a 10-year ownership and reported to be a highly original car.

It is understood to be equipped with the original 3.9-litre OHV inline-six and three-speed manual transmission with two-speed low-range transfer case.

These cars used a separate body-on-frame ladder chassis, solid axles and leaf-spring suspension, and were equipped with four-wheel drum brakes. This car retains its original towbar and nudge bar..

This FJ40 is understood to have been professionally repainted ten years ago, including all panels except for the inside doors and dash as they were found to be immaculate. The owner notes that it maintains its original green vinyl seats front and back, mats, and headrests which are understood to be quite rare. The car spent some time in the Landcruiser Foundation Museum in Gundagai, NSW.

This LandCruiser was last serviced by Cars Caringbah. It will be sold with original books and extensive service documentation.
