1967 Ford Mustang Coupe
Fast Facts:
A high-performance 1967 Ford Mustang hardtop restomod, built around a 5.8-litre/351 ci Ford small-block V8 with a Dart block, AFD cylinder heads and a 750 CFM carburettor
Desirable five-speed manual specification, with a Tremec TKO gearbox and Currie 9-inch differential
Right-hand drive, with four-wheel disc brakes, front coil-over suspension and Simmons alloy wheels
The Details:
Built in San Jose in 1967, this Ford Mustang arrived with the model’s first major redesign, which brought with it a broader, more muscular body and allowed for a new big-block V8, as well as a roomier interior and more luggage space. That redesign has been pivotal in the Mustang’s enduring popularity, becoming a defining classic muscle car silhouette and the perfect platform for modern driveline, brake and suspension upgrades.
And that’s been the story with this car, which began life with the 289 cubic-inch 2-barrel V8 under the hood. It has since been substantially upgraded, and is now built around a 351 cubic-inch Ford small block V8 with a Dart block, AFD cylinder heads and a 750 CFM carburettor.
Power is sent through a Tremec TKO five-speed manual gearbox to a Currie 9-inch differential. Further upgrades including four-wheel disc brakes, front coil-over suspension and rear leaf springs.
Finished in silver with grey striping over a black interior and riding Simmons alloy wheels, this example is on historic registration in NSW and is reported to be in excellent condition. The cabin has been converted to right-hand drive and features an aftermarket steering wheel, auxiliary gauges, modern audio and a floor-mounted manual shifter.
The seller notes partial service history and advises that the car was last serviced in December 2025.
A nicely sorted and beautifully presented 1967 Ford Mustang with a look reminiscent of ‘Eleanor’, a 351 ci Ford small-block V8 under the hood and handling updates to match, this is one fans of classic muscle shouldn’t miss.
