This 2005 Ford FPV GT-P, build number #331, is an exceptional, low mileage example of the marque’s iconic early 2000s muscle car, paired with a manual transmission and finished in striking Rapid Yellow.

Following shortly on from the formation of Ford Performance Vehicles in 2003, the BA GT and GT-P were important cars for Ford Australia, reinvigorating the marque and reviving the storied GT badge with a dedicated FPV performance vehicle.

The GT-P sat atop FPV’s BA performance sedan range, building on the GT formula with a higher level of equipment and Brembo stopping power. Under the hood is FPV’s 5.4-litre Boss 290 V8, a quad-cam, 32-valve engine rated at 290 kW and 520 Nm. This being a Mk II car, it is paired with the desirable six-speed Tremec T56 manual gearbox, while the seller advises a dealer-option Herrod stainless exhaust with quad outlets is fitted.

#331 presents exceptionally well, even down to the neatly maintained undercarriage. It’s finished in Rapid Yellow with FPV striping, GT-P badging and rear wing and five-spoke FPV wheels housing Brembo brakes. Suiting the extroverted GT-P package particularly well, Rapid Yellow is one of the most striking colours offered on the BA-series FPV cars and this example is reported by the seller to be one of just 38 wearing it.
