The Details:
This 1995 Dodge Viper RT/10 is a rare and desirable first-generation example of one of the defining American performance cars of the ‘90s, finished in black over a grey leather interior and showing a modest 11,500 miles.
The early Viper was famously uncompromising. Built around an 8.0-litre naturally aspirated V10, six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive layout, it was a raw and unapologetic muscle car that delivered supercar performance with little interest in softening the experience. Early cars lacked conventional exterior door handles and wind-up windows, let alone niceties like traction control or ABS.
That monster V10 (engine number SV200397) is reported to be original in this car, exhausting through factory side-exit pipes, a limited-slip differential helping to direct the power and factory power steering a rare nod to modern convenience. This Viper features an upgraded braking system, fitted with power assisted four-wheel discs with drilled rotors.
The original black finish is understood to be in place and present very well, perhaps the most desirable of the four factory colours, and this car rides 17-inch five-spoke Viper wheels. The bodywork is similarly reported in excellent condition and is paired with a removable colour-coded hardtop. A crack is noted in the windscreen.
The cabin is trimmed in grey leather and retains its familiar wraparound dashboard with white-faced instruments and auxiliary gauges across the centre. It is equipped with optional air conditioning and has been fitted with an aftermarket Pioneer head unit.
Beginning its life in Florida before moving to Pennsylvania and then Arizona, this Viper was imported to Australia in 2025. It’s accompanied by comprehensive documentation including a CARFAX Vehicle History Report and a collection of supporting documentation and owners' literature. The seller reports full service history.
This car does not have the optional pop-in side windows, but will be sold with the removable rear window which pops out for extra airflow.
Raw, charismatic and unmistakably of its era, this first-generation Viper RT/10 is a rare to find, low mileage icon and a fine example of a car that should definitely be on your bucket list.
