When it comes to iconic car designs, there aren’t many as instantly recognisable as the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. With its unmissable tailfins and Cadillac-inspired tweaks over previous model years, the ’57 remains a true classic.

The example offered here, located in Sydney and currently on club registration, wears a fetching red-and-white colour scheme inside and out that highlights its iconic looks.

Sitting 63mm longer than prior 1955-56 models, the ’57 Bel Air was designed to look bigger and more luxurious – a big part of what cemented this car’s legend status. To add some Cadillac-inspired luxury cache, it also sported gold badges with a reminiscent ‘V’ design. 

Presented in very good condition inside and out, this example is currently riding on an unmissable set of 20-inch US Mags wheels with a period-correct design. 

It’s also had its engine swapped out for a 350 small-block V8 – an unsurprising change as it’s one of the most popular engines (and engine swaps) in automotive history.

This example remains in left-hand drive configuration inside, with its well-trimmed two-tone interior only sporting some additional under-dash Auto Gage gauges in terms of any modernised updates.
