The Details:

This 2003 Jaguar XKR convertible is a beautifully presented late X100-generation example, finished in Adriatic Blue over Dove Grey leather, handsomely optioned and offered from an eight-year ownership.

The XK8 was an important car for Jaguar, replacing the long-serving XJS and ushering in the marque’s modern AJ-V8 era. Its styling nodded to the E-Type, but beneath the familiar grand touring silhouette was a far more contemporary car, which struck a chord with punters and ushered in somewhat of a renaissance for the brand.

Earlier road tests praised the supercharged XK as one of Jaguar’s most desirable modern two-doors, and the later 4.2-litre cars, like this one, built on that reputation with more power, a better gearbox and improved braking.

This car is equipped with the larger 4.2-litre supercharged V8 paired with a six-speed ZF automatic transmission. It is reported to have been optioned with R Performance-style equipment in the form of 20-inch Paris alloy wheels and Jaguar R-branded Brembo brakes.

The cabin is classic early-2000s Jaguar, with Dove Grey leather, burr walnut veneer, chrome-ringed instruments, heated seats, and climate control. A Parrot Bluetooth system has been fitted.

The seller reports partial service history and extensive recent maintenance. Notable work includes a post-purchase service and maintenance programme in 2018 by Mike Roddy, reported at approximately $9,500, along with replacement Brembo rotors and pads, new expansion tank, heater hoses, front suspension mounts, rear wheel bearings, gearbox filter, pan and oil, supercharger oil, coolant and brake fluid. 

The car was recently serviced on 17 February 2025 by Classic and Prestige Auto Services in Geebung, Queensland, with new tyres fitted at 132,000 km and a wheel alignment completed in April 2026.

The odometer shows 135,574 km. No warning lights are reported, but some small faults are noted, including an inoperative driver’s headrest adjustment, a chip to the lower front bumper near the number plate, and some expected minor marks including to the lower plastics behind the rear wheels.

Service books, audio system handbook and Parrot manual will accompany the sale. Also included are the valet key, radio security code, original white gloves, wind deflector and the original soft-top cover, which is reported to remain in excellent condition.

In addition, front and rear Jaguar mudflaps and Jaguar branded fog light covers were never fitted to the car and have been preserved in their JLR packaging. 

This 2003 Jaguar XKR convertible is a conscientiously cared for and handsomely specified example of the marque’s turn of the millennium grand tourer, and remains just as compelling today as it was at release.
