1967 Chevrolet Camaro

Fast Facts:

  • A first-year Chevrolet Camaro, understood to be fitted with a 327 ci small-block V8 and automatic transmission

  • Offered from a seven-year ownership, with the seller reporting annual servicing in their care and recent maintenance completed approximately 50 miles ago

The Details:

Introduced for the 1967 model year, the first generation Chevrolet Camaro was General Motors’ direct response to the Ford Mustang and quickly became not only the Mustang’s greatest rival, but in and of itself one of the defining American cars of the era. This 1967 Camaro Sport coupe is from that first year of production, especially appealing for enthusiasts, and is finished in gold showing 27,905 miles.

It’s understood to have been built in Norwood, Ohio, wearing a Granada Gold body with black vinyl roof and gold standard bucket-seat interior when new. It rides chrome steel wheels with dress caps and is finished with black nose striping and SS-style badging and steering wheel.

Power is supplied by a 327 ci V8 mated to an automatic transmission. The engine bay presents with an Edelbrock air-cleaner/intake, chrome rocker covers an aftermarket ignition leads. Other equipment includes power-assisted brakes, a modern battery, Pioneer rear speakers and an aftermarket audio head unit.

We understand the car to have been in the care of the seller for the past seven years, who reports it to have been garaged under a premium car cover and serviced every 12 months despite light use. No formal service history file is supplied, but the seller reports the most recent service was completed approximately 50 miles ago. The car is said to start readily and present well inside and out for its age.

Condition notes include a small split in the paint between the boot and rear window, along with minor chips and age-related marks.

Equipped with a 327 ci small block V8, this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Sport Coupe is an attractive example from the first year of what would become an enduring muscle car icon, and would make a welcome addition to the garage of any fan of classic muscle.
