The Details:
This 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is offered with just 3,078 km on the clock, finished in Blue Ember Metallic over a Black Onyx interior and riding contrasting Herrod 20-inch bronze wheels.
The Dark Horse was introduced with the seventh generation ‘S650’ Mustang as Ford’s first new performance nameplate since the Bullit in 2001. The marque called it their most track capable street legal Mustang ever, and backed that claim up with a strengthened version of their most powerful 5.0-litre V8 yet, improved aerodynamics, upgraded handling and better brakes, alongside significant interior updates.
This example is one of the highly limited Australian-delivered allocation. It was built in 2024 and complied in January 2025, and will be accompanied by its original handbooks and full service history. Just over a year old and showing only 3,078 km, it has only required the 1,500 km service interval, which was completed by City Ford on 28 June 2025.
Power is courtesy of the aforementioned Ford 5.0-litre Coyote V8, which in local specification produces 349 kW and 550 Nm. The new engine features piston connecting rods from the 760 horsepower Shelby GT500, a dual throttle body intake and other development work, and sends power to the rear wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission and Torsen limited-slip rear differential.
The handling package for the Dark Horse includes new chassis tuning, re-tuned MagneRide adaptive dampers, larger rear sway bars and heavy duty front shocks, as well as a lightweight strut tower brace and K-brace and six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembos. This car additionally benefits from an upgraded Herrod Performance Mach 1 suspension package.
Finished in Blue Ember metallic, this Dark Horse has been upgraded with bronze Herrod Performance HP3 20-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres in staggered 285/30R20 front and 305/30R20 rear sizing. The seller also reports fitment of genuine carbon fibre front bumper panels, bonnet vent and rear spoiler.
At the forefront of the Black Onyx cabin is its distinctive digital cockpit with 12.3-inch driver’s display. This car is also equipped with optional heated Recaro front bucket seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather steering wheel, electric power assisted steering with selectable drive modes, keyless start, premium audio, voice recognition and rain sensor wipers.
Rarely seen in Australia, this 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is a handsome, low mileage example of Ford’s highly capable driver’s car, boasting desirable Harrod Performance upgrades and carbon fibre trim.
