This 1966 Ford Mustang GT is a well presented early ‘A code’ coupe, benefitting from restoration work completed since 2007 and a rebuilt 302 ci Windsor V8. It’s finished in repainted yellow over a black luxury interior, and indicates 26,139 miles.

This car was built in Ford’s San Jose plant in December 1965, delivered as a 1966 hardtop finished in Sunshine Yellow over a black luxury interior and originally specified with the desirable 289 ci four barrel V8 and C4 automatic transmission. It was imported into Australia in 2007 and is understood to have remained with one Australian owner until July 2025 when it moved into the seller’s care.

That original C4 automatic is understood to still be in place, now mated to a rebuilt 302 ci Windsor V8. The car retains its original GT presentation as well, including grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker striping, GT badging, five-dial instrumentation and deluxe interior appointments. 

This Mustang was restored from 2007 onwards and has been repainted. It is described by the seller as clean and rust free, with everything working as it should be, including the heating and air conditioning. Some minor imperfections consistent with age are noted. It is accompanied by service history covering its time in Australia.
