The Details:
This 1990 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V is a right-hand drive converted example of Lancia’s celebrated Group A-era performance hatchback, finished in red over a grey interior.
Introduced in 1989, when its competition sister car had spent the past six months romping the Group A World Rally Championship, the 16V is equipped with a turbocharged 1,995cc twin-cam inline four with four valves per cylinder. Its Garrett T3 turbocharger is paired with an intercooler, integrated electronic fuel injection and ignition management and bigger injectors compared to its eight valve older brother.
Power is sent via a five-speed manual transmission to a permanent all-wheel drive system with an epicyclic centre differential, a Ferguson viscous coupling tuned to give the cars a slight rear-biased torque split and a Torsen rear differential handling the left/right split. Factory output was rated at 147 kW, producing a 5.7 second sprint to 100 and on a top speed of 220 km/h.
The Delta HF Integrale 16v was never officially sold in Australia, and was only produced in left-hand drive. This example is of course no different, and is reported to have been converted to right-hand drive by The Italian Job in Melbourne. It received compliance in Queensland on April 23, 2007, and was first registered shortly thereafter on May 4. It is understood to have been in the seller’s care for more than 20 years.
This car is understood to benefit from a repainted red finish, which is reported to be in excellent shape, as is the grey interior. The Lancia rides 15-inch alloy wheels shod with 205/50 R15 Pirelli tyres. The grey cabin features Recaro front seats, a sunroof, air conditioning and an aftermarket Sony audio system.
The odometer indicates 94,951 km, and the seller reports no known accident damage and a full service history for their time with the car, although no handbooks are included. The most recent service is understood to have been completed by Classic Fix in March 2025.
Lancia’s Delta HF Integrale 16v is a sure entry on the bucket list of many in our motoring world, and this neatly presented right-hand drive converted example looks to be just the ticket.
