The Details:

Perhaps the most illustrative thing we can say about the presentation of this stunning 1969 Porsche 911T, is that during the all-too short hour we spent photographing it, in a quiet Sydney car park, three separate people approached us to ask about it.

The 911T was delivered new into the United Kingdom as a factory right-hand drive car, but made its way quickly to Australia and is understood to have an early service record in Melbourne dated January 1971. Some years later, in around 1980, it was upgraded to wear its Carrera RS bodywork with the iconic widened rear quarters and ducktail engine lid. The bodywork is fully steel throughout.

It went into the care of the seller in the early 2000s, who entrusted its mechanical maintenance to well respected Sydney Porsche specialists PR Technology. The car now shows 63,778 miles (102,623 km) and the most recent service was completed at 102,500 km. The car is accompanied by 20 years of service history with the workshop

PR Technology is also largely responsible for the 911’s more recent mechanical upgrades, which bring it closer in specification to the 2.8 RSR. This includes a fresh 2.8-litre twin plug engine, rebuilt five-speed gearbox and all new suspension bushings.

Recent work is not limited to the mechanicals, which brings us back to the car’s beautiful presentation. It benefits from a more recent glass-out respray, and rides genuine 15-inch Fuchs wheels. The cabin has also been re-trimmed, and is finished in black with classic ‘Pepita’ seat inserts and period VDO instrumentation.
