The Details:

Introduced in 2005 as the first production Jaguar styled entirely under Ian Callum’s direction, the X150 combined elegant grand touring proportions with an aluminium body and chassis. The supercharged XKR followed for the 2007 model year, while the major 2009 update introduced Jaguar’s new 5.0-litre V8 and substantially increased performance. 

This example comes from the final phase of X150 production, with an April 2014 Australian compliance date and 2015 model year Australian specification. Its identification labels confirm VIN SAJAC45R5FMB55708, Ultimate Black and a Warm Charcoal interior.

At its heart is Jaguar’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8, producing 375kW and 625Nm in standard XKR specification. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. This is paired with Adaptive Dynamics, Jaguar’s high performance braking system with Alcon 380 mm discs and black calipers, and the Performance Active Exhaust.

Finished in Ultimate Black, which is reported to have been ceramic coated twice, this particular car benefits from the XKR Speed with Black Pack. This raised the electronically limited maximum speed from 250km/h to 280km/h and incorporated the XKR aerodynamic package, side sill extensions and rear diffuser. Black Pack detailing included gloss black grilles, side intakes, power vents, boot lid finisher and window surrounds, together with the distinctive forged lightweight 20-inch gloss black Takoba alloy wheels. 

Inside, the Warm Charcoal cabin is particularly well equipped, with 14 way electrically adjustable heated and cooled front seats, driver’s side memory, a heated steering wheel, Bowers & Wilkins premium audio, satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, HID LED headlight lamps, and keyless entry. 

The seller additionally reports BMC performance air filters and understands this car to have been tuned to approximately 550 horsepower, with a “550 HP” emblem fitted above the side power vent.

The odometer is reported at approximately 62,000 km. The car holds six months current registration with unique ‘XKR 550’ plates, and is supplied with its handbooks and two keys.
