The Details:
This 2015 Tesla Model S P85D is offered with a factory implemented and recognised P90D Ludicrous upgrade and new factory 90 kWh high-voltage battery fitted in August 2026. A one-owner, Californian-built, Australian-delivered example, it is finished in Red Multi-Coat over a Tan leather interior and displays 177,458 km.
This Model S was originally supplied as a P85D and was well specified from the factory, including Red Multi-Coat paint, the Tech Package with Autopilot, Ultra High Fidelity Sound, panoramic sunroof, Smart Air Suspension, carbon fibre rear spoiler and dual onboard chargers.
It was then updated through Tesla in August 2026 to P90D Ludicrous specification. The original 85 kWh high-voltage battery was replaced with a new (not remanufactured) 90 kWh battery, together with the Ludicrous performance upgrade. It is reported to now estimate 440 km of real driving, compared to 398 km when new.
At the same time, Tesla also replaced the battery heater and 12-volt battery, inspected the vehicle and carried out its most recent service at approximately 177,000 km.
Tesla subsequently rebadged the car as a P90D, and its instrument display now identifies it accordingly. The new high-voltage battery carries a four year Tesla warranty from August 2026.
The car has also previously received a replacement Large Drive Unit from Tesla under warranty. Given that the battery and drive unit represent two of the Model S’ most substantial drivetrain components, their replacement represents significant value and peace of mind for its next owner.
The infotainment system has been upgraded by Tesla to the later MCU2 hardware, bringing improved system performance together with 4G connectivity. The car is reported to retain lifetime Tesla internet connectivity. A revised centre armrest with additional cupholders has also been fitted, while the original armrest is included with the car.
The exterior is complemented by 19-inch Turbine alloy wheels, red brake calipers and the carbon fibre rear spoiler, while a full body stoneguard film was applied from new. Inside, the Tan leather cabin is paired with a black dashboard and Alcantara headlining, and the large central touchscreen.
The Model S displays 177,458 km and has remained with its original owner since new. It is offered with its handbooks and a full service history, with its most recent Tesla service completed in August 2026. Also accompanying it are both original Tesla key fobs, the original and unused Tesla floor mats and the all-weather mats used from new.
This car is reported to benefit from transferable lifetime free Supercharging, allowing the benefit to pass to the next owner. The seller believes this to be one of the only cars in Australia to benefit from the recently commenced four-year battery warranty, combined with its being upgraded to the faster P90D while retaining unlimited and transferable supercharging.
Together with the dual onboard chargers, Tesla Wall Connector, standard portable Tesla charging equipment and an additional portable three-phase charger, it is particularly well equipped.
This 2015 Tesla Model S P90D ‘Ludicrous’ is a lavishly specified one-owner, Australian-delivered car with an effectively new 90 kWh battery boasting Ludicrous mode, replaced Large Drive Unit, lifetime Supercharging and Tesla internet connectivity.
