This 1992 Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet Sportline is a right-hand drive, late model example of the first generation Golf Cabriolet, finished in red over black leather, displaying 108,671 miles and offered at no reserve. 

Although the second generation Golf hatchback had already arrived in 1983, the original Golf Cabriolet remained in production until 1993. The convertible was manufactured by longstanding Volkswagen coachbuilding partner Karmann in Osnabrück, with later examples like this one receiving revised styling, body coloured bumpers and additional equipment.

Introduced in the early 1990s, the Sportline featured BBS cross-spoke alloy wheels, wheel arch extensions, side skirts, Sportline graphics and Recaro sports seats.

This example is finished in red contrasted by black exterior trim, and rides black-centred BBS alloy wheels. Further details include the quad headlamp grille, body coloured bumpers, front spoiler, black folding convertible roof and Sportline decals.

Under the bonnet is Volkswagen’s naturally aspirated 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, driving the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. A larger aftermarket exhaust tip is also fitted.

The cabin features black leather-trimmed Recaro sports seats with embroidered branding and contrasting stitching, together with a matching rear bench. Equipment includes a leather-wrapped Volkswagen steering wheel, sports instrumentation, manual windows and an upgraded audio system with an Audison amplifier and additional speakers. A wood-finished gear knob and drilled metal pedals are also fitted.

The car’s identification plate records VIN WVWZZZ15ZNK006402, while an Australian import approval label dates its entry into the country to September 2009. 

The seller advises that the car has been in their ownership for approximately five years, noting some small rust patches documented in the photography, minor dents, paint chips and other blemishes consistent with age and use.

Displaying 108,671 miles, the Golf is offered unregistered, without handbooks and with partial service history reported by the seller.
