Fast Facts:
One of the most popular sports bikes of the early 1990s, winning many fans thanks to its good looks.

The Details:
When it first launched in 1991, the Ducati 900SS quickly became a hit in the two-wheeler community.
So renowned was this bike at the time, gonzo journalism pioneer Hunter S. Thompson was famously loaned one to review for Cycle World magazine.
Today, this 1992 model presents as a great used sports bike that can be thoroughly enjoyed thanks to its excellent design that offers good all-day comfort.
With a beautiful full fairing that flowed back from its rectangular headlight and vibrant red bodywork laid over the famous white trellis frame, its 904cc Desmo Twin offered the performance to back up the looks. This classic Ducati desmodronic two valve per cylinder air-cooled engine is much revered by Ducati enthusiasts for its simplicity and visceral feel, while also being reliable and easy to maintain.
Factor in 62kW (84hp) and 84Nm in a bike that only weighs around 193kg with all fluids, making it good for an 11.8 second standing quarter mile and top speed a fraction over 219km/h. Brembo brakes with complementary gold calipers were fitted to serve up the stopping power.
The starter clutch has recently been replaced, and the timing belts are understood to have been replaced within the last two years, with invoices available for the work.
This 900SS presents in original condition, with 60,960km currently indicated – evidence of its usability through to today.
