The Details:

Near the end of Ford Australia’s FG Series I production, the other thing that had reached the line was the 5.4-litre V8 engine that powered it due to new emissions standards. Replacing it was the 5.0-litre ‘Coyote’ engine that still lives on today.

But what to do when it came to Ford Performance Vehicles’ line of hotted-up Falcons? Rather than simply accept the reduced displacement, FPV and its partner Prodrive decided to supercharge the new engine, along with fitting a number of other Aussie-developed supporting upgrades, thus creating the glamorous ‘Miami’ V8.

Initially fitted to 2010 models before underpinning the revised FG II from 2011-14, the Aussie-developed engine produced 335kW and 570Nm in the FPV GT like the car you see here – although some believe those figures to be conservative.

This 2013 model (build number ‘1170’) is a fine example of the breed, finished in Winter White with a black leather interior with Alcantara highlights.

With merely 19,771km indicated on the clock, this example is only made more desirable when you see the six-speed manual gear shifter in the centre console.

Although it currently rides on a set of 20-inch Versus alloy wheels, the original 19-inch FPV alloys are included in the sale. Aside from a K&N air filter, it presents in otherwise unmodified condition.

Ensuring this one-owner car remains a collector-grade example is the fact a full service history and all books are also provided.

For the many Blue Oval fans out there, this is a prime example of a truly Aussie-developed performance Ford in immaculate condition.
